I try to memorize them in couples like “a pair of shoes” for pair and shoe… in Japanese of course
Great, I just added some pictures to some of my Anki Cards - I think this could work out quite well. And it also works with easy mnemonics… pictures are great! (Did you know that just YESTERDAY the Beatles were shown in the cinema? きのう is quite similar to the german Word for “Cinema” - Kino
)
I added the pictures to the first page, but I can remove the picture as soon as I know the meaning well enough.
Might shift them to the second page then in a separate “second page picture” field. It is true - Anki is a very powerful tool, but it took me some time to understand it…

The audio cards are a good hint - I might download some decks (although it is SO important to me to type in everything on my own at the moment.) ![]()
