This is for all you level 48’ers out there, and tells the story of why a spear and a shield has come to mean “contradiction”:
I had always interpreted 矛盾 as a clash between an unstoppable force and an unmovable object. It’s nice to know the actual story behind it.
An unstoppable spear versus an unbreakable shield is pretty much the same thing
Not level 48 yet (but I do know 矛)…
I still greatly enjoyed you sharing this. Thanks- and I hope it will enable me to remember 盾~!
Ace Attorney also teaches us the legend behind the word “contradiction”. ^>^
Are… are you @Jonapedia ?
Love this sort of thing - thanks for posting
Can one person be another? Sounds like a 矛盾 to me!
