tbf. There is no rush. The plan is to do 3 BLCD-releases in the main series, then 1 special cd, so as to not spoiler anything. That’s because different people in the cast appear on these cds, matching the progression of the story. The spoilers are mild, but spoilers nonetheless.
So the 7-8-9 special is quite some ways off, as that’s reflects the story up till after finishing BLCD 9.
I just remember that at least for the 4-5-6 special, the spoilers are not mild. 
They are counting on you knowing the story up to that point. But, generally speaking, while they do reflect on the story, the chats are free-ranging and is more about them talking about themselves.
We can get practice by transcribing that first special talk CD maybe. Now that’s a way to work on your listening skills.
I know It’s just that I have the opportunity now, and maybe not later, and I only have that one CD, so I’ll go with that.

I started listening to the 7-8-9 special CD (because I generally wanted to know what they talk about as my friend would probably not be amused if it’s BL stuff all the while 
) and boi do they talk fast! 
Then I tried to listen at 0.5 speed but it was only then that I could hear how much they actually slur stuff when speaking, and the slurring combined with the slow speech sounds like they are drunk as hell, which was so confusing that I had to stop doing that 
Since I have listened to this one before, I’ll try to jot down some pointers to help you with the identifying who’s who. ^>^
I feel like, since it’s just us 3 so far, and we all have read the books much further along in the story, it’s probably fine to do these in a different order.
But, For anyone else wanting to join, that just are following this from the ongoing listening club, there will be spoilers ahead. That sort of thing. And that goes also for the specials further down the line above book/volume 12 for @eefara for sure.
I think that using spoiler tags for just those times that they DO mention something to do with plot-twists or the story, we’ll be fine in this thread. Because, mainly they talk more generally about stuff that sort of tangents the story rather - personal life experiences etc.
That being said, who appears on the special talk CDs is a type of spoiler in itself for sure.

Thank you! One question that occurs to me, seeing what you’ve got already - do we want to transcribe in Japanese or English (or both)? And if you want to make the home post a wiki, I can add links to the individual posts for easy finding later.
I’ll aim to “officially” start working on it after we wrap up CD 3, but I’ll probably start chipping away at it before then. I’m curious how well this will go; I have very little confidence in my listening skills, but even if I end up being useless the effort will still be worthwhile.
Great questions. I was thinking of the translation as the main practice for us. Which will inevitably make also have to think of the main text. I think that it depends on the purpose of us doing this - helping us “hear” what’s being said? Or help us understand what’s being said?
For me, it’s the latter, but maybe you feel need to get help with the latter - very understandable. (we can’t all just put years into this thing on random, and even then, how ineffecient do you wanna be? = @ekg )
Those are some good thoughts. 
I guess I’ll wait to see how things go when I can sit down and give the first CD a listen. I’m anticipating about the same level of understanding that I’m getting from the main CDs, so if that’s the case, I might start transcribing in Japanese so I can figure out what the heck I’m listening to, haha. I definitely don’t mind helping with English translations, though; that I can do.
Let’s just do it like a kind of multi-thing then. For me, it might be about the translations - mostly - but not all I’m sure. and for you getting the listening right - and for that, I think I can help you. ^>^
