I’m inferior to everyone, no matter level.
No. There’s more to Japanese than knowing kanji. My kanji skills on a website may be ‘better’ or ‘higher level’ than someone else’s on the same website, but that doesn’t equate into real life use. I might take much longer to recognise kanji in the wild than a lower level user. My speech may be much better than theirs.
I respect high level users due to the dedication and time they’ve taken - I don’t think they’re better than me for the same reason as above.
It probably doesn’t mean much coming from me, but absolutely not. I tried using this site in the past and actually ended up stopping because there was no way to advance faster. I had to spend a long time on things I already knew, and I didn’t really want to waste my time doing that. I’m trying it again because I really do enjoy this site, but really, a person’s level doesn’t say anything about them or their knowledge of Japanese. You don’t know what they do outside of this site’s slow pace, or what they’ve studied before coming here.
In fact, I look down on them so much, I’m actually looking up
I don’t know why you would feel that way. I mean weren’t you level three at some point. Maybe I am misunderstanding your point. Are you saying we don’t know what we have gotten ourselves into??? Of course I didn’t know anything about kanji; that’s why I am here. Anyway, I didn’t think people were judging me based on my level. You have to start somewhere don’t you. :thinking
Pfft. Such a level 6.
Do you feel like people who are a lower level than you are inferior?
By definition, yes I do. Merriam Webster defines inferior as “situated lower down”.
Im even at whole new level of underestimating
Not even lower level, whenever I see someone without profile picture, I assume they are newbie
Yet, as far as I know, Im the most without knowledge of you all.
