Crystal Hunters: A manga designed for people learning Japanese!

i just read the first book and i loved it. totally recommended for beginners who want to enjoy reading a piece of manga (or text in general) in a non painful way.

in my case i did not have any expectations at all (i have wanikani, genki 1 and a private teacher to learn proper japanese) and i wouldn’t encourage anyone to expect to learn proper japanese just by reading these books/guides 'cos, imho, crystal hunters aims to give a grasp of the japanese language you find in manga in a very simplistic way. still the guides (maybe not 100% accurate with everything they say) are quite complete.

also love the idea of having two versions of each book: one with a super simple language (including furigana) and the other in (still simple) natural japanese language

already bought the rest of the books

Sorry to revive this, but I brought the books on Kindle with the intention to use GitHub - kha-white/mokuro: Read Japanese manga inside browser with selectable text. but they are DRM’d which means it’s very hard for me to look up words / Anki.

How have people over-come this? I know DRM is to prevent piracy but in this case I already own it and I just want to use something similar to Yomitan to look up the words

Which version are you reading? The easy or the natural?

If it’s the easy version, we have all of the vocabulary listed in the guides. If its the natural version, we have a kanji reading guide for each page.

You can find all of the guides here: FREE STUFF – Crystal Hunters Manga

Sorry for the DRM inconvenience, but we hope this helps
