I also have no idea about programming, but I can do the translation to (Latin American) Spanish =)
Count me in
So it seems localization should be added to the list?
Updated the Team List. Iām little bit busy right now. I will setup the communication for the project next week and we can get started.
Localization will be one of the last things that needs to be done, but thanks for your participation, every contribution is important!
I have done some Objective C programming for Mac and iOS and I just finished my Computer Science degree, so I might be able to help.
Not to be a buzzkill, but whats the point in localizing an app where one ofĀ the main objectives is to writeĀ english answers?
As I suggestedĀ before, please fix the web review (sometimes slow, can get confused very easily etc.) before programming shiny new APIs.

Just wait 1 or 2 month and you will see the first super stunning releases of people. (I think Wanikanify is already very stunning!)

I would like to give a shot at the UI Design! I got some ideas based on the current desktop version of Wanikani Iād like to explore in a mobile platform.
Edit: Ah, I just noticed there is someone assigned to the UI Design already. Maybe a friendly exchange of ideas could happen, should more people be interested in the design as well?

You see people? This is what happens when I say āIāll learn Java later!ā. I miss out on Ā making the WaniKani Android app. Somedayā¦ And IĀ really need an iPod, as I now see from all of the iOS apps for Japanese.
i help test the app if you need more peopleĀ
Iām an iOS Objective-C programmer so Iād be glad to help out if I could! I also wonder whether something likeĀ Urban Airship or Parse (with itās push notification features)Ā would serve the purposeā¦
As for the API limits, arenāt they per user API key anyway?
I think this is a great idea. Iād be very happy, having this on my iPhone ^^
Butā¦ the only thingsĀ I could help withĀ would be translating to german and testingā¦
And as I see there are already people doing this, I donāt know if itād be any helpful.
Iād be happy to help out.
UI Designer
Translation to Danish
I would be happy to help with visual design and/or testing!
Ā (also if help with theĀ FrenchĀ localization is needed I can do thatĀ too)
Iām happy to volunteer my time as an App Tester!
Iām planning to switch from an iPhone to an Android phone soon thoughā¦ Any one out there like Java?
If you still want a backend dev then I can help out. Ā Comfortable with most cloud andĀ backend tech,Ā esp. Ruby based.
I can also provide someĀ backend help in Rails / Sinatra / Padrino /Ā any other Ruby-based frameworkĀ if need be, although I see there are plenty of folks who offered their assistance before me.
We might be able to use the WaniKani gemĀ (shameless plug)Ā that I built, or at least some of the code (since I think the gem wonāt do well with the type of backend needed for this sort of app).
I could app test, Iām currently on an iPhone 3gs, hoping to get an iPad in February an dmaybe upgrade to a 4s. Ā Iād keep my 3gs though.
Hi,
This is a forum chat thingo for creating an apple app right?
Sorry Iām not very technical.
If it is one, would you be able to make it possible to buy a subscription to wanikani directly through the app, using itunes money? I cannot buy the subscription off the internet, however I could via itunes.
That would be great, thank you.
Please respond if possible.
