I haven’t seen 大体 have a definition of “Maybe”, are you thinking of the right thing?
Wow, for some reason I thought I saw it as a secondary definition. You would be correct, sorry.
I guess I will truly never forget this word now lol … I guess I somehow confused it with 多分 in my reviews.

From the point of view of a small housecat:
大体 – Generally, humins have big bodies.
Their bodies are big enough for about how many cats?.. I’m not sure, but you get the general idea – the gist.
