It’s much easier to remember meaning/reading notes if you create the mental notes yourself. I think WaniKani should let you disable the pre made mnemonics and let you format your own with colors and everything.
You can’t disable it by default, but I’m pretty sure you can use their formatting in notes (color and everything).
