I think if you have such a specific case to prepare for, WaniKani or vocabulary lists wouldn’t be all that useful. Your best bet is probably to immerse yourself in a wide range of Japanese content related to historical reenactments and the Sengoku period. That way, you’ll get more used to the kind of language you might encounter during the event.
