I scheduled the level 3 computer test for February 3rd, which IIRC is the same day as the paper test. Wonder if that will affect the speed it gets graded.
Need something to take my mind off being a JLPT failure.

The certificate and score report arrived today. 172 points. I got a perfect score on the yojijukugo section!
Congratulations on your success with this!
It is really exciting and motivational to see you attempt these.
Tested positive for the flu. I cancelled the test for next weekend, since I’m going to lose a lot of prep time recovering. Maybe I’ll go for 2 weeks after that.
Wow, the certificate is really nice! Congrats. And ouch for for the flu - hope you’re feeling better soon.
Get well soon and keep inspiring us.
Okay, the test is back on for February 9th. Level 3.
I’m pretty much all set on reading questions, and I do like 70% to 80% on writing questions, so I just need to tighten up some of the middle sections, like synonyms / antonyms.
I’ve passed the two times I tried on the DS game, but I haven’t taken a paper test yet.
Taking the 3級 paper one today. I’ve been passing it on the DS every single time for a while, but not with stellar scores, tbh. Let’s hope for the best.
Just finished my self-correction (the paper one we can take the test home) and got 169/200. Even if they take me some points for not so clear kanji and stuff like that, I think I should stay above 140, hopefully.
Funny thing, was getting an awesome average of 8-9/10 in all sections. Until 書き取り came. 7 out of 20 wrong. Ouch.
I’ve been averaging about 170 on my practice paper tests, but the frustrating thing is my lost points are always in different places. Rather than always scoring about the same in every category, I do almost perfect in almost every category, but then always get destroyed in one. Like, I just did a test where I got 2 out of the 10 yojijukugo. The day before I got 9 out of 10 of them, but synonyms and antonyms wrecked me.
I just hope that when I take the actual test on Saturday that I don’t get hit with a perfect storm.
Do you have to pass each section?
No, you can even get a zero in more than one section. As long as you have the total, it’s fine.
Yeah, some sections are only 5% of the total test, so it would be pretty strict to hold you to passing them all.
3級、受験終了!
I felt pretty good about almost every section, and I think I even got like half of the yojijukugo right.
There were no reading or writing section questions that I had major doubts on, and my guesses for those sections turned out to be right, among the ones I checked.
お疲れ様でした!
Since it’s the computer based version, you’ll get the results quite soon, right?
Yeah, I’ll be able to check the website for the pass/fail status like mid-next week, and probably get the full results in about two weeks.
Did the exam before and I can only check pass/fail on March the 1st. Life is so unfair, hahaha.
so, did you pass?
Who are you asking? I just took level 3 this morning, so I don’t know. I’ve passed levels 5 and 4 previously.
Awesome! !
