Had another little conversation (text)! Didn’t look up much but I feel my sentences are still really short, though I do kind of text like that anyway sometimes Although I’m also prone to never ending sentences which I haven’t quite captured in Japanese writing yet lolol
As long as you write every day and do your best on the Quartet assignments, then in no time at all you too will be able to write giant essays and show them off to everyone here! I started out in the sentence a day thread and made lots of embarrassing mistakes
Okay because my handwriting practice doesn’t take all that much time (having deliberately set the bar super low), I’ve decided to add 5 minutes of daily verb conjugation practice and am using the website below created by another WK user (Thanks @Cookie316!).Today I just did the plain causative & will continue conjugating it in all its variations for several days until I get good at it.
How does conjugation fit into the speak/write challenge? Well, for me, one of the biggest struggles when speaking is being able to conjugate verbs correctly and fast!

Very late starter, but hopefully I will be practicing everyday from now on (or from tomorrow on ), including the “off month”.
Planning to be focusing on writing, I will write entries on Langcorrect.
And it’s on! Wrote one entry on Langcorrect today.
Currently, my “writing prompts” for my entries are the Dictionary entries of the Dictionary of Advanced Japanese Grammar. I read the entries and try to come up with a sentence of my own.
Just had to mention here this example sentence for いかなる, found it very beautiful and true: いかなる外国語学習でもその国の文化が好きになってくるものだ。
Actually, make it two: スポーツはいかなるスポーツであれ、肉体だけではなく精神をも鍛えてくれる。
Lol someone gifted me a crochet kit with no instructions for beginners, just the regular pattern, so I’m like, I guess I have to learn crochet just to do this?
Bit of a later start than I’d intended, the discord server is intimidating. I started a diary, I was able to write more than I was expecting, hooray. I don’t feel confident with sharing it all but I will share one sentence 「この日記を書くことが簡単じゃないと思うが、眠いのに、驚きな簡単だ。」
Okay I went ahead and joined this discord server that everyone has been hyping (and ran into a certain clumsy cat over there) I typed my first post and was nervous for a few seconds, but then decided that I already have enough things to be anxious about and smashed the send button.
Sometimes the conversation moves so fast that I can’t keep up, but at least it gives a lot of reading practice, plus I can type up a message and just yeet it into the void.
I see myself using this server a lot in the foreseeable future.
