I feel the last panel of chapter 57 very strongly

I like cooking and experimenting with flavors (and I make it taste good too). My husband will eat it and go, “It’s okay, but you can just grill it with salt next time.” :sweat:

To be fair it’s a case of traditional dish preference. Japanese dishes use basically the same ingredients (soy sauce, dashi, mirin, salt, sometimes vinegar). And since you can eat fish fresh from where it’s caught, salt is the best to enhance that flavor while spices and other ingredients overpower it.

If I were living in the midwest in the states where most of the fish can only be bought frozen, I’d need spices to liven it up or it would be boring.

I found it funny that chapter 57 is about camping and fishing and chapter 58 has no relation to it but a “fishing” way to say change is there. This was a fishing week in the end!
