The 21st has just begun for me, so I’m a bit late, but I’ll try to join in as well.
I’ve got a book I’m about 2/3rds of the way through that I’d like to wrap up, and maybe get through some of the manga I’ve had sitting on my shelf for ages.
- Finish reading 怪盗レッド ー 2代目怪盗デビューするの巻
- Read volume 2 of ホロックスみーてぃんぐ
- Read volume 1 of カグラバチ
I do have some other things I’ve gotta do today, so we’ll see how it goes. Might be a bit ambitious, but I think it’ll be fine. I’ll get started as soon as I’ve done my other daily Japanese lessons and reviews.

I finished another chunk of reading, at an hour and a half! I’ve progressed 23 pages in 風立ちぬ, which I’m pretty happy with. I’m now halfway done with the book!!!
I’m going to take a little break, and then see what I feel like reading (probably more 風立ちぬ haha, only ten pages more and I’ll have finished the chapter I’m on!!)

To be honest I had kind of forgotten it was starting today. I plan to read some Friday night when I get off of work and get home (it’ll probably be after 12 am by then so hopefully 12 am to 12 am Saturday would be my hours). I’ll be a little busy with helping a friend move between apartments and I think dad’s going to play music that night at the pub, but I should have time to squeeze in a couple hours of reading. Maybe silent witch to catch up with the club. Finally finishing chibi book 3 maybe. Not sure exactly what I’ll want to read then. I definitely want to try doing it though. I only did a few hours for the winter one.

Read a chapter of 世界は終わっても生きるって楽しい while on the massage bed at the gym, then went home, showered, and read a chapter of 光が死んだ夏. After that I worked on my school orientation for a few hours, and then finished both series which puts me at 201 manga pages.
All that’s left now is to read 7k characters from 世にも奇妙な商品カタログ 1 インスタント死神・友だちクジ他, which I’ll have tonight and a few hours in the morning to do.

I read Hokoichi and the Straw Raincoat. I read 5 1/2 pages in 3 hours and 18 minutes. Diifcult but I did it!

Ahaha I read the same book when I started out! Unfortunately it is not a graded reader and the Japanese is at times very difficult. It’s just considered “easy” because it contains the translations next to it. If you read this in Japanese, I’m very impressed! You should consider joining the Advanced Book Club for our next pick 
Last update from me: I managed to squeeze in another 25 minutes and 7 pages. This means my overall reading is 61 pages in 5:40 hours.

It was definitely tough. I tried to keep my eyes off the notes unless I needed a vocabulary word. I think it’s cheating when and if I can do it myself. I don’t think I’m ready for the Advanced Bok Club yet.

Update: I’ve read from 42% to 89% of 本好きの下剋上 32 and have 1.5 chapters left to go! It’s only 5:30 p.m. here in Japan, so I still have a few hours left to read the last 30 pages or so. However, I’m finally home after lots of travel, so I’m going to rest for a while.
Current Stats: 149 LN pages read in about 6 hours.

I’m very happy with the totals! (Currently very sleep deprived so please let me know if there’s a mistake) Novels got all a bit much near the end as I got tired. There was a part in すべてがF where they started going into minute detail as to every single tool they had on a workdesk for several pages straight, and that plus screaming twins made me have to stop for a while. I had to switch to kindle for a bit later, which meant I had to try 世界から猫. I don’t like it… Least favourite book in Japanese so far. Difficulty level is pretty nice though.
Anyway, I reached basically all my goals! Except for finishing a book. That’s just because I had been slacking in the few days before the readathon itself. But still, 206 novel pages is awesome!
Thanks everyone else for your awesome updates so far, and extra extra thanks to @taiyousea for hosting. I’ve been looking forward to this for 3 months ever since the last one, and it helped make what would have been an otherwise incredibly horrible travel day into something enjoyable. Good luck to everyone ongoing or yet to start! Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go not think about Japanese at all for 2 weeks.

Final update! I did manage to read a little bit more last night and some this morning as well, for a grand total of 4 hours and 55 minutes, amounting to 163 pages. I finished the full three parts of 圭太とネコ石, so I’m very happy about that.
I ended up attempting 手ぶくろを買いに as well, which ended up being a lot harder than the graded readers I was reading, but I’ll finish it eventually. I’m just gonna go at a snail’s pace for that one.

I finished reading last night! (Thursday)
I did end up finishing the chapter I was on in 風立ちぬ, so I’m over halfway done with the book and very happy! Then I read maybe three or four chapters in my current volume of Slam Dunk!
風立ちぬ - 160 minutes - Page# 31-65 - 34 Pages
スラムダンク - 25 minutes - Page# 34-88 - 54 pages
Total: 185 minutes (3 Hours & 5 minutes) - 88 Pages

First update from me as well - a work meeting got moved to later in the day (ugh) but that left time for a reading session.
I did change the book, after all 
so now that I’ve only just started a new one it’s going even slower than usual 
Dunno how to make the fancy tables and stuff, but:

(I’m reading the ebook version and relying on Natively to make the conversion from percentage to printed book page numbers.)
I’ve reached a turning point in the first short story (the “oooh, the plot thickens!” kind) but gotta stop for now as menial stuff like needing food and needing to work to put that food on the table are getting in the way.

Second update:
Done with this volume 
. Oof that was actually so boring to read (no offense to anybody who likes it, it’s just the case for me that I didn’t enjoy it).
The reason I stopped reading it initially was that nothing really happens, and most of the manga are just conversations between characters whom I couldn’t quite connect to. Only one of the characters was somewhat interesting, and I was happy that he got more story time towards the end, so I could breeze through the pages more quickly.
This manga is just missing something for me to be worth continuing, but I’m glad I got through the rest of it because it annoys me when I don’t have everything on 100% on my bookwalker

Update 2 (final): I finished my book, and it’s 10 p.m., so the readathon is officially over for me! It was so much fun to read all day with everyone. Even though I’m done, I’ll continue reading updates to see what everyone is reading!
Final Stats: 212 LN pages from 1 source (本好きの下剋上 32) in about 8 hours.

I didn’t end up starting yesterday like I planned, and honestly I’m still not in the best headspace for reading, but I’m starting now (2025-03-21T13:30:00Z) with スーと鯛ちゃん and we’ll see how that goes.
