It seems the radicals on WaniKani don’t include the drop radical which appears in the kanji, near the cross. I think it should be included.

I assumed it’s not there because that would be 5 radicals for one item. Does any item have more than 4 radicals in the mnemonic? If the inclusion or lack of a dot doesn’t impact one’s ability to determine which kanji it is, perhaps they figured not including it was easier than breaking that standard. It’s not like they are super strict on which radical is which for mnemonic purposes anyway.
