I’m probably just mishearing this, but I am confused on the pronunciation of 年来. WaniKani says it’s ねんらい which makes sense. I’m hearing “Kenichi” saying ねんらい, but I hear “Kyoko” saying ねんない? I looked it up on Jisho and also hear ない on their audio. Is this just an accent, or am I supposed to pronounce the ら as な?
It’s mostly just that transitioning straight from ん to ら is difficult for the mouth flaps, so the sounds can get a bit blurred.
Sounds like ねんらい to me, though.

Not that it matters a great deal, but this also happens to be WaniKani audio. It’s just that WK let Jisho use their audio back before they hired Kyoko and Kenichi.

Ah, I thought that was the case, but I wasn’t sure if I’d just misremembered.
