I’ve also seen this a number of times already, it seems that Amazon JP is notoriously bad with its data

I read the English translation of that one when it came to my library recently. It’s a lovely, quiet novel and an excellent translation. (I haven’t read it in Japanese yet–just judging based on the smooth flow and wonderful English word choices. When I read something that’s been translated J>E and I don’t find myself unconsciously back-translating odd bits, I know it’s good. Or at least, I should say, that’s what I value in a translation!)

Sounds great - I’ve heard lots of good things about it.
I was so impressed by Stephen Snyder (the translator)'s version of The Memory Police. It totally didn’t feel like a translation at all.
I’m not going to read the English version until I have read it in Japanese.
Incidentally… I just found this. There is an online book club by the UK Japan Society in November this year - including Yoko Ogawa. I’m hoping that we will have maybe read the book by then!

Oh, that’s the only other Ogawa book I was actually really interested in. I’ll see if I can keep a a time slot open by dropping some other clubs.
