Gonna trust that this is good because I feel like I’m gonna struggle to work through all the logic, but I’m impressed at the amount of work here. Thanks a lot for all you’re doing!
Pleasantly surprised to see, despite fairly conservative decisions on increasing pace, a pretty decent decrease in total weeks it’ll take.
Schedule is updated in main post. If I made a transcription error…I’ll fix it as we get to it.
Also, heads up I plan to post the next weekly thread a day earlier than usual–I realize since I’m travelling Friday across country to visit relatives, I’m not sure I’ll have the time to post it at the usual time. Additionally, I can’t remember if they have internet in their new house at the moment either.
I decided to try to learn how to play this game properly and not just to push buttons xD
Week 8 and I understand now how Deathblows works and are learned
That’s equipment for your Gears! Basically armor plating and the like. The +1 etc from what I understand is basically like powered up versions.
So normal 装甲板 adds let’s say 5 defense, +1 is more effective
Oh right, I forgot about those. I feel a bit silly now, but at least the mystery is solved so I’m glad I asked! Thanks for the answers!
Probably free money then, I must have enough that I can sell plenty.
I feel like it’s hard to know what is OK and what is not OK to sell in this game… not sure what will come in handy later for quests or stuff…
Soraya Saga, one of the four writers of Xenogears put up a new blog post about her retirement. This has caused an outpouring of support for her on Twitter.
With the success of Xenoblade Chronicles, Takahashi’s solo writing seems to be widely acclaimed by the fandom. I don’t think I should ruin it.
Well… what if that geeky, wordy, jargon-filled writing is exactly what I’m here for??
It honestly breaks me that some people are this self-deprecating despite releasing games like Xenogears and Xenosaga… and that flop part hurt, commercial success is such a poor metric of value.
I was really hoping they would write one last Xeno trilogy together. You rarely get a husband-wife duo cowriting a story, and the original Xenogears manuscript is all them.
I honestly think the great success of the Xenoblade series is only possible due to Xenogears and Xenosaga shaping the way and creating a loyal pre-existing fanbase for the newest series.
Edit: maybe I should also mention that she wrote エドガー and マッシュ for FFVI.
Upon looking at it, I combined a few weeks with lower character counts to try and get to reach 10k more consistently
** Combined Ch18 and 19, totaling 108min & 15.9k characters
** Combined Ch 25 and 26, totalling 116 min and 12.4k characters
**Rearranged from Ch39; 40&41; 42 (three weeks) to Ch39&40; Ch 41&42 (two week). Now 116min&9.8k chara/133min&11k characters.
