俺貰い物でこれが一番嬉しいんだよ
自分のじゃないのにさ

I’m not sure I get what he’s saying here… “I’m very (most) pleased with the present”… saying that he thinks he chose good canned food and snacks (like not just cheap or bad tasting stuff)?
And what about the second part? I have no idea…

I think the lack of a は may be part of the problem. When saying the items in the bag are the most pleasing, what’s the topic, so we know who they are most please to?

I wonder if the は goes after the 俺:

「俺は貰い物でこれが一番嬉しいんだよ。自分のじゃないのにさ」

I read this as something like:

“For me, this is the number one most pleasing present. Even though it’s not for myself.”

ごめんなさい!
