言語の部門(not sure if right word, but fields/areas of study within linguistics)は構文(syntax)と音韻学(phonology)と発音学(phonetics)と形態学(morphology)と意味論(semantics)です。
I hope I got this right… I should be: "I read 10 sentences from the story “kasajizou”. No idea how to write what’sin the brackets though
「I scheduled a meeting for XXX (time/day).」
Ah, also, almost forgot to ask! With this bit…
… I was trying to say something along the lines of ‘I heard through the grapevine’; is there an explicit way in Japanese to convey that I heard something through ‘rumours’ (or bettter through second-hand information), or would we always just use 聞く?
XXX (time/day)に会議を入れました。
You could say:
Sorry…
I didn’t understand anything…
I’m just going to stop trying for now
Ah sorry. I meant “Ohh there is this book? I didn’t know that!”
