This is what I wrote in my Level 60 post precisely about this topic:

Of course it does depend on personal goals, but generally I feel it’s unnecessary to go all the way to Level 60, and more efficient to invest that time in reading.

here from Brazil those normal methods dont show japanese subtitles,

people here almost hate even subtitles nowadays, they prefer dubbed (eww) let alone having japanese subtitles in those episodes.

It would be a huge bother to get a vpn just to connect to a different country, more expense paying the vpn and as a bonus getting my data collected (and leaked?)

the meow method is way easier, I can do it in less than 5min.

I’ve never hit level 60 before, but I think it depends on what your goal is.

At level 42 you’ll know

100% of N5 and N4
98.37% of N3
86.10% of N2
36.28% of N1

At level 60 you’ll know

100% of N5-N2
79.06% of N1

This is based off of WKstats. In my opinion I would think one would like to get to level 60 simply because they would know more.

For my reading comprehension is very important to me as that is what is need for manga and otome games so for me I plan on going all the way up to level 60.

I understand wk is structured in a more rigid way, but I wish there was a way to at least add radicals or kanji out of your level into your reviews. I’d love to use the wk system but adding kanji I actually learn and start reading about on it. Will probably make the jump to anki or something else if needed once the time comes, but not too excited about it u_u

FYI, you can already undo reviews (in a limited fashion, as long as it’s a normal grading, and not e.g. blacklisting or permanently marking as known) by just going to the previous page using your browser’s back button and regrading the card.

(In hindsight this is not perfect since it’s not easily discoverable and it doesn’t allow you to undo every action, so I do have plans to improve this and make it more explicit so that it doesn’t require going back to the previous page.)
