Just was emphasizing that this problem is a reality. Many times you learn a reading with a kanji and then the vocab that follows uses another completely different reading, not just once but most of the vocab for that kanji. I’m sure you’ve come across one of these: “You did not learn this reading, so here’s a mnemonic to help you to remember:”

Yes, but I think those are usually kun-readings that will also not come up in other vocab, so it would also not make too much sense to offer those first
I think there’s still room for improvement. But in the end, the important thing is that we’re learning words in context, not just the kanji.
