When kanji hits you in the college Japanese class nostalgia spot in your gut

tfw you get the wanikani vocab lesson for 鋼, which you’ve so far learned is steel and the on’yomi is kou, and wanikani is like ‘the kun’yomi is: hagane!’ and suddenly 2005 hits you in the feels again like a train


yeah… i remember learning that kanji… now i remember… hagane no renkinjutsushi was my favorite new long thing to say…


I went to see the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist film in Japan, and when I was buying my ticket, it took me about three attempts to say 鋼の錬金術師 without getting completely tongue-tied. :stuck_out_tongue:
