What is くも in this context?

秋あきは暑あつくも寒さむくもありません。

I am assuming this roughly translates to

Autumn is hot and cold.

But I’m struggling with the grammar here. I am aware of も (also/too) and the continuative くて form for i-adjectives.

Is the も particle here replacing the て in くて?

秋は暑くても寒くてもありません。

Just wanted to point out that the title hurt my brain a bit.

You probably realize this, but the く and も serve very different purposes.

The く is part of the 形容詞(けいようし) (so called い-adjectives), e.g.「暑(あつ)い」(you have to change the い to a く when using the negative form: 暑(あつ)くない or 暑(あつ)くありません in polite form).

The も is a 助詞(じょし), a particle that works on it’s own. As usual, Tofugu does a good job explaining how this particle can be used.
