I think the simple fact of him being outside at this hour is strange because I think there’s a curfew so no students are supposed to be out, and on top of that of course Felix is high profile and a potential target so it’s reckless for him to hang around outside at night.
As such you don’t really to know where Felix is headed to be suspicious of the situation, him being outside in and of itself is enough to catch people’s attention.
I’m still not sure if I find Monica’s extreme shyness endearing or not, but I was wondering what the Prince was thinking about that kind of behavior, so I was really quite pleasantly surprised when it was explicitly mentioned soon after!
