Japanese name be like:
No joke, when I see a Japanese name and it actually has the reading I’d expect I’m completely floored. But most of the time I’m just like “yeah, of course that’s read as りゅう… because why not”
What are these strange symbols and how is it I understand their meaning?
このミームさえで文法がないwwww
こういち when you say こ instead of こう
If こういち is so great, why is there no こうに?
Which anime is that from?
Kyoukai no Kanata.
I gotta finish watching that someday…
After seeing a thread made here a couple of weeks ago, I made this:
This is what my life is now, shitposting memes.
I’ve got 5 readings of 上 and 5 of 下 … I’m only level 2
me who is chinese here to explain. 痴 can mean obsessed in a bad way in chinese, and I guess the meaning didn’t catch in japanese. 漢 can mean man in chinese, and i guess the meaning didn’t catch in japanese either. weirdly obsessed man. yes.
The man meaning is also there in Japanese, but that’s not as meme worthy, it’s certainly the real meaning of 漢 here, but yeah, memes.
I’ll see if I can find the original topic that inspired the meme, a longstanding member had a good explanation iirc
