When a new level gives you a kanji that is just a radical from ten or more levels ago with the exact same meaning

I’m not gonna lie. There was a point in which i questioned myself if it was worth keep using WK or not.
All my memes are build on sad truths.

Painfully relatable. I seen a word with the 直 kanji in it while playing a game recently and I think I searched up every other kanji with the same radical in it. 植、置 and even 殖
I thought it may have been a kanji like 乃 where it appears simple but is actually not seen that often… Nope! Apparently I burned it in November 2018.
Oh Crabigator, have mercy!
There’s a second way to write this kanji, which you’ve learned before.
It’s this one:
The kanji you’re seeing is actually the Chinese version. In the link below, you can see that 直 is used in the Chinese section, while the Japanese section has the other way to write it.
That basically functions as a pretty formal の particle (and indeed, that kanji is actually the etymological origin of both the hiragana の and the katakana ノ), though you’ll also frequently see it in names… but admittely I’m having trouble coming up with anyone I’ve heard of who uses it.
I also have 乃 idea ![]()
Now that’s what I call a top quality meme.
I sang along… and cried a little…
