Oh thank you! I’m surprised that mine was a winner to be honest. I do want to also know who the other winning ones were. I really hope they publish them too.

You don’t sound like you’re bragging at all! I think you should be proud of yourself. If I were you, I’d show off that tenugui on your wall 
Yay I’m one of the people whose essay got chosen! I was very surprised because I’ve never thought of myself as a strong writer so I thought I had no chance, but I decided what the heck I’ll just submit something. Message to all is to take those chances and risks, and you might surprise yourself with how much you succeed! 
So just a stupid question, Did you write the essay in Japanese, or English?
English. No way I’d be able to do it in Japanese yet lol
