Thanks for the fix, seems to work perfectly here.
This is going to be a bit of a weird report, but this version of doublecheck somehow conflicts with Reorder Omega and disables the reordering after the first item. It doesn’t show any errors though, so I can’t send you anything. I’m on newest on every script, only running those two and open framework, and on newest firefox. I think it’s doublecheck’s fault, because it works fine with the gart-temp-fix (that one does post an error but works regardless, very cool). I’m sorry to not have any ideas as to what’s causing it, but I thought better let you know, as something to look into when everything’s done.
Bonus comical bug, by accidentally using doublecheck and the gart-fix
Thanks for posting an update. The main functionality is working for me, but the script is currently conflicting with the SRS update indicator provided by wanikani. The same issue was also present in the gart-fix, where only the indicator for the final review appeared. Now, no indicator is showing at all. This is probably not the highest priority thing, but I was using these so I would appreciate it if it could get fixed at some point.
Sorry noob here - had always used a different override app which is now broken.
How does this app work? I see no differences and I can’t find an ignore answer button anywhere. I feel like I didn’t install it correctly even though Tampermonkey shows that it’s running on my WK tab.
Thank you for your work!
I type like a gremlin (to quote ruethulu), so I’ve had to stick to Tsurukame since the update.
But now I can also do my reviews on my PC as well, which is a relief.
Overall things seem to be working as they should, but I did notice a couple of bugs:
The review count shown on the dashboard is listed as one (1) after you’ve finished a session and have no reviews left. Clicking on it simply results in a snarky message from WK. This occurred when only Open Framework (1.1.0) and Double Check (3.0.2) was enabled. I’ll update this post in about an hour when I’ve tested it with only Open Framework enabled. ETA: The review count was not off when only Open Frame was enabled.
The “Show Item Info” → “When Multiple Meanings” option does not seem to have any effect.
Assuming you have the latest version of Open Framework (1.1.0), you should see a gear icon in the upper-left corner of the reviews page. Open up the Double-Check menu there, and select either the Allow Retyping option, or the Allow Changing to ‘correct’ / ‘incorrect’ buttons’. Then you should see some new buttons on the quiz button bar during the review.
The (1) I also get with Opera and gart-temp-fix. So it’s not a double-check “feature”. After refresh it’s 0 as expected. BTW with Chrome I got NaN
What do you mean by “snarky message”? Quite an explorer …? This means AFAIK an access to kanji or vocabs not in WKs database.
I just did a batch of reviews with only Open Framework enabled, and that didn’t result in the (1) reviews available afterwards. So it’s either due to Double Check or it is a bug that happens inconsistently due to other causes.
And yes, I meant the “Quite the explorer, aren’t you? ” message.
Hi! The updated script doesn’t seem to work on Safari on Mac.
I deleted and re-installed both Double-Check and Open Framework and made sure that Open Framework is loaded before Double-Check.
I’m attaching a screenshot from my console.
Thank you for the script BTW!
Seconding.
I can now use double-check, but updating double-check broke reorder omega.
It’s the only script I updated today, so I can’t think of another reason why reorder omega would suddenly break.
@rfindley , I second @Nellodee ‘s findings: the double check script doesn’t seem to work in Safari (15.6.1). I opened the reviews’ window and only enabled the Wanikani Open Framework (1.1.0) and Double Check (3.0.2) script to narrow down the error messages in the console which were as follows:
I’m not sure if it deviates that much from @Nellodee but I wanted to share it just in case.
Edit:
I just tried Firefox (111.0.1) with Wanikani Open Framework (1.1.0) and the new Double Check script enabled and there seem to be some errors too as no undo button is available and undo via backspace doesn’t work, just as @Corodon reported.
Thanks for updating this script, being without it for the past week has really shown how much it helps the WK experience.
The new version isn’t quite working for me though. I can get to the Double-Check settings in the gear menu and change things there, but actually double-checking things isn’t working. No undoing my answer when I hit the backspace button, and no on-screen UI elements (if there are any, always just used backspace) to use as an alternative.
I’m getting an error message in debugger that seems to be coming from this script:
Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Unhandled Promise Rejection: Error resolving module specifier “lib/answer_checker/utils/response_helpers”. Relative module specifiers must start with “./”, “…/” or “/”. (unknown)
Thank you so much After a long WK-break, I struggled a lot. After resetting some levels, I restarted with the Self-Study quiz and deactivated the vacation mode not long ago. Now I’m getting back on track with my Reviews and it is so demotivating if you make stupid typos or didn’t get the right word, because English is not your native language. Therefore, I really appreciate your time, to fix this script
I’m also having the issue listed above where the review count will display as 1 when returning to the dashboard until refresh, but otherwise it’s working flawlessly on Firefox 111.0.1.
Thanks so much for making wanikani useable again for myself and so many others.
I also get the 1 review - quite the explorer thingy (for a few days now). But I am not currently using Double-check…
Can someone else confirm? I mean, I wouldn’t want the amazing rfindley to waste more of his time to fix an issue that he didn’ cause D:
I saw reports of this issue before I released Double-Check, so I don’t think it’s related. It sounds like a very intermittent bug in WK. But I’ll keep an eye on it.
Yes, that’s perfect. Could you try doing a search-and-replace on the Double-Check script to replace all instances of the word import with importShim, and see if Double-Check works for you on Safari?
[edit: @Corodon, if you’d like to try it on Firefox, too, that would save me some time setting up Firefox]
