Visually similar kanji

Around two weeks ago, we made a number of additions to our visually similar kanji on WaniKani thanks to a very thorough list compiled by forum user LuisTM. We don’t have a full list of changes this time, but a rough one can be found in this reply to the original forum post. We hope these are useful to you, and we’d like to encourage other users to share similar feedback with us in the future!

過去 (22) “If you know the readings of your kanji you’ll know how to read this as well.”
I wish ! There are 2 readings for 去 and this word asks for the alternative reading… a mnemonic to remember which of the 2 readings to use would be great.

Same for 人 : じん or にん ?!
Earlier items have a mnemonic to help remember which one to use, and then we’re left to guess. I haven’t figured out what’s the rule if there’s one.

I’m surprised that 威力 is not used as vocab for 威 given that it’s a pretty common word in my experience, and according to my JPDB frequency plugin thingy significantly more common than the existing entries for that kanji.
