NHK Easy isn’t easy, it’s simply an easi_er_ version of normal NHK.

Thank you for your great help. Tae Kim’s guide is great but I have a hard time with it. My brain needs easy and short lessons to understand. That’s why i love wanikani.
Maybe Bunpro would be better? It has short lesson chunks and then links you to guides for further reading. That way it’s a little less overwhelming than maybe reading straight Tae Kim. There’s also lots of example sentences to try to drive home the grammar point.
Plus it has the SRS to help reinforce things. Maybe that can help jump start your grammar learning so you can start reading and encountering that same grammar in real material.
Did you by any chance search in romaji? わ should never be read as a particle. “Wa” on the other hand…
Do you sound out the words as you read? Try to say them out loud, and see if you don’t recognize something.

Thank you so much to everyone who took their time to answer me. I am sure you saw this question many times and still, you were nice enough to answer me too. I am glad I had the courage to ask, I got to learn more from talking with you. I am glad the community here is really nice. Japanese is hard and having people to talk about and help makes it a bit easier.
