This was an article about a potential nuclear waste disposal site—right in Tokyo Prefecture! Which is to say about 2000km away from the actual city on 南鳥島
Man, I really haven’t seen much of Tokyo Prefecture during my time living there, huh?
The article also explains the multi-step procedure they’re doing for eventually determining the nuclear waste disposal site
第2段階の概要調査に入れば、現地でボーリングなどの地質調査をすることになる。
I’m not entirely sure what exactly y’all are doing or why, but count me in!

This was the first day in the challenge where I couldn’t really get into reading. I’ve read a page of Apothecary Diaries, I’ve read a page of One Piece, but it just wasn’t clicking Since I’ve at least made an effort, I still count this day towards my streak, but it’s like one of those days where you do <5 reviews just so your WaniKani / bunpro streak doesn’t break
but today will be better for sure
Interesting piece. It had folklore elements but also felt like a commentary on children growing up post samurai-class dissolution. There’s also a little footnote at the end explaining how it was inspired by a news article.

I played more Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Finally I managed to reach the last boss but couldn’t beat him. First you have to deal with ten different phases it takes at least one hour to reach the last phase and in the end you have to deal with some bullshit. Well if you characters are too weak you are out of luck there is no way to get back and level up or do some quests. Maybe I will turn the difficulty to easy and finish it.
I also ordered this bookmark from a seller on Etsy. She messaged me today to let me know she was preparing my order and ask if I was watching the anime
Nearly done with the first strawberry panic volume! Today was a pretty good reading day. I also ended up getting way too emotional over this book, but that’s one of the signs of a great book for me so it’s all good ふふ
Missed another day but no surprises, it’s just more 逆転。Finally done with the current witness… that was a trial by itself…
Looking at my read rate, I think I’ll probably be playing this for the majority of the challenge lol. Which I don’t mind as such… I don’t have a lot of JPN reading やる気 atm (or rather maybe it’s being redirected into writing?) so just having something to chip away at is fine.
Not nearly as much reading as I wanted, but I really want to watch a movie tonight…although it’s already quite late for that…sigh. Didn’t read during the day (should have), baked instead.
Baking!!
My brother asked for a breakfast pastry so I made a modified version of these — no corn custard since sweet corn’s not in season and strawberries instead of blackberries. (I made them as written last summer and they were AMAZING.) I put saffron in the dough and the custard, the latter also got some kesari milk masala for more flavor. I doubled the dough so I’ll probably do some more buns tomorrow, various types I think.
