some of my friends went to med school in Europe and I guess they go directly after highschool so it’s only 6 years there. That’s 2 years quicker than over here so I’m jealous 
Over here I believe it is a 5 or 6 year undergraduate (bachelor) degree. After that you go on to do a residency somewhere, but are paid staff by that point…

On a serious note, there always comes a time or a day where you have no motivation and get discouraged easily or start wondering “why am I even trying?”. And it’s toootally normal, I feel like most of us here did 
Or you might even have the motivation but forget almost half of the things you learned during your reviews and omg can it be frustrating.
On those bad days when you feel like you’re not recalling really well I’d say it’s best to just close the review tab, watch anime, read some manga or go back to the thing that got you studying japanese in the first place. Then you come back the next day with a fresh mind or hell, even a month later but the most important thing is that we come back. Look at us! We’re 1/3 in and still going. It’s pretty f-ing impressive if you ask me. And sometimes if we’re really shitty during our reviews it’s still A-okay. 5th, 55th or even 155th - one day you will have to get this 生地 (or other leech) correct! That’s what wanikani is for, isn’t it? Trial and error. It’s a race but in the end it doesn’t really matter who’s there first on the finish line. As long as we get there at all! ヽ(；▽；)ノ

Finally did all remaining kanji lessons (11 of them), so I guess I will hopefully level up in 4ish days. At least I’ll basically half the time of my last level (which was 60+ and this one should fall just below 30)…

I’d say using a reorder script at times like this and doing just one level at a time is a great help. It’s easier for the mind seeing 50 items left instead of 750. would not recommend it for “every day use” though as it’s minor cheating hohoho
