Nothing to do with Japanese but seems to belong in the grammar section

So I’ve taken longer than I should have to get the hang of transitive and intransitive verbs - I think I’m finally getting there.

I’m also trying to learn a relatively rare language that has minimal resources. I’ve just learned that transitive and intransitive verbs are a key feature in this language with different grammatical features and treatment.

Very glad that this carries across!

What language are you trying to learn?

Arrernte (technically central/east arrernte) - it’s an aboriginal language from the Alice springs area in Australia. It has around 2000 speakers I think?

I work there part time, I wanted to learn a local language for ages, but the problem is there are 6-8 commonly used ones! In the end I chose the language of Alice springs itself, even though most users speak English also.
