Yeah… Yesterday I did 40-ish lessons and it took me probably about 2 hours. 100 would take me more than twice as much!

i use it for reviews as well to clear radical and kanji first when i only have time to do a few and to start with the most recent level first to get my apprentice items moving at a good pace.
other than than, i untick everything and use the random order but i do use the back to back meaning/reading option.

I had 38 lessons before hitting lvl 42, and then 129 total appeared.
I just keep apprentice below 90 and just did 10 new lessons. To the rest of this day I will have 153 reviews. 
If you just turned lvl 3 like me that’s about the same number I have as well. I’m following this schedule which aims for 2 weeks per level by doing 10 lessons a day. It also seems to aim for around 100 lessons once you level up, so you’re good
