i talk with my friend japanese (we are both learning japanese) and i notice a lot of times that i dont remember words but when i see the kanji i instantly remember. i thought about a really cool feature that can help with this:
it is kinda like reviews (not essential for leveling up tho) and it gives a word made from hiragana and you need to input the meaning. ofc, if the hiragana-word can be made from couple combinations of kanji and you input the meaning of a different word from what they meant, then a pop up message will say āwe mean a different combinationā or something like that, and by doing this, i think it will help me and a lot of other people.

Thatās a common issue for people who focus a lot on kanji/reading early on (which is obviously common here on Wanikani). There are multiple ways to remedy that, including what you propose, but you can also just listen to more spoken Japanese where obviously you donāt have kanji guiding you so you have to get used to the sound of the language and not just the way itās written.

oh smart, i like this idea.
Iāve been thinking for a while that i need to listen to Japanese more, thanks
Just as a general comment, in Japan spoken language Kanji are actually used regularly. People add the kun or on reading to clarify, often people would just write the kanji into the air. It was very confusing in the beginning to see, but now I like it
