pg 3 - ヤサ as yakuza slang for house is pretty interesting! The yakuza dictionary says: 家などの住居のこと。「鞘」の逆読みで、刀が鞘に収まるように人間もねぐらに戻ることから。
To translate: it comes from the reverse reading of 鞘 ‘sheath’ because people return to their homes like a sword returns to its sheath!
pg 6 - Was confused about how 粒ぞろい means ‘uniformity’ since 粒 means ‘grain’ (as in grains of sand (砂の粒) and similar words), but I figured it out. It looks like 粒が揃っている means ‘to be uniform in size and quality’ (according to wanikani), which makes sense to me thinking about it visually. And 粒がそろう → 粒ぞろい
pg 16 - 塀の中はもう十分や Does 十分 here mean 10 minutes or enough? ‘It’s already been 10 minutes’ or ‘it’s already enough’? There’s no furigana so I can’t tell which one it’s supposed to be

I think it means “enough” here. She immediately takes the cat out of the pet carrier and says the sentence: 塀の中はもう十分や “That is enough prison.”

Once again I am very late with the poll, I’m so sorry about that. The job hunt has taken over my life 
But this leads me to an important announcement: It’s been a great 2 years, but I’m stepping down from running this club. I’ll still be reading future volumes and watching all the threads, and I’d still be down to chat about subsequent volumes, but I’m not going to be updating it like a formal club anymore. If in the future anybody wants to take over and read future volumes as a formal club, feel free to do so

Thanks so much for your efforts with the club!
Unfortunately, it seems like there isn’t enough interest currently. This reminds me of a similar club I tried to run, and it faced the same challenge. Due to low interest, we weren’t able to start the next volume. It was no fun:frowning_face:
