I do have a question. Did you read the character list and if so was it useful so far?

No, I did not read the character list up until now (I am near the end of week 2 now). Firstly because I did not want to spoil myself, and secondly because I figured I might not remember the names anyway

Right from the start, the reader gets pretty much flooded with various characters and their names, as I think is kinda typical for the author. I had a bit of a hard time with them, struggling my way through the first week, and then I slowly started to form a mental picture of the main characters. During week 2, this picture got much clearer, and for now I feel ok with most of the characters that appeared so far. Maybe later on I need to have a look at the character list or write my own list though…

I’ve put the week seven thread up a little early as I will be busy tomorrow morning. This is the week when (if you’re reading the four volume edition) we finish the last part of book one and start on book two.

I was looking at the schedule and wondering why next week said 30 pages when in my copy it looked like 3.7 alone was 31 pages. Turns out the two book ebook (kindle) is missing the TOC entry for 3.8! Hopefully the break is still there and it’s just missing from the TOC.

If you want the last phrase in 3.7, it’s 私は決して、あなたに強いはしないわ. Hopefully it’s just the TOC being wrong, though.

The other question is whether people want a short break before starting book 3, or just to roll straight into it.

I’m not even done with book 2, so I’ve become resigned to the fact that I’ll never catch up anyway and will leave the choice to you

Natively says the books are 256/224/256/240 pages, so there’s only 16 pages different – I haven’t looked at chapter lengths, but it will probably come out to 12 or 13 weeks for books three and four.
