手 radical image slight change

So I arrived at terrible hairy-hand issue (毛 vs 手) :wink:

I found nice thread about it (Mixing up radicals and Kanji meanings - #4 by i2j3) and it suggests this mnemonic:

For the fur, if you can remember the direction も or し curl (backwards J) and looks like a tail.
For hand: if you raise your right hand up, your thumb will point left like the curl on 手.

Now, looking at the hand radical page:

One can see that the thumb is in the different direction. Would it be possible to slightly change the hand radical image by flipping the hand vertically so that the thumb corresponds with the dangling thingy to the left? :smiley:

Something like on this page: Kanji: 手 (and the hand radical 扌) - Nihongogogo!

(yes, it’s also about “fingers” radicals but the concept is good IMHO)

So we’ve decided that we might change this in the future but for now, we want to prioritise releasing new illustrations for the radicals in later levels.

Definitely new images are more helpful than refining existing ones <3
