真っ黒 - i-adjective?

I learnt the word 真っ黒 recently, but today I was messing around making some sentences, and when I looked it up on Jisho, it was stated as a na-adjective/noun. That would mean you need to add a な to make it an adjective(right?), but just below it I saw 真っ黒い listed as an i-adjective. So now I’m a little confused by this, if I want to make 真っ黒 and adjective should I write 真っ黒い or 真っ黒な? Are both useable?

Looks like both types of usage are possible: 真っ黒 - Jisho.org

Some colors are nouns but also have i-adjective versions, such as 黒 and 黒い. It looks like something similar exists with 真っ黒 and 真っ黒い (with a slight difference in that 真っ黒 is also a na-adjective like you said).
