最近 sai-pain (_ _).。o○

Every time 最近 pop back in my review after a while, I answer “most recent” and WK punch me in the face.
Although this is the most common translation encountered.
I know that I can add synonyms but I think it’d be better for others and new users to add this translation.

I think you should email this one directly! They’re likely to miss it in the forums.

caveat that I don’t know the legitimacy of that synonym, but it looks plausible

I’ve actually seen 最近 more commonly as “recently”, but then again I probably don’t read as much as you do so maybe you are right.

I’ve also seen/heard it mainly as “recently”, and that’s how I use it.

With suggestion’s like this, @Radish8’s suggestion of shooting us an email is the best course. If you do that, I can pass it along to the kanji team (aka Kristen) to consider.

You’re all right about it also often use as “recently”.
I’d like to add that it also conveys the idea of latest, something closely recent.
Which is way “most recent” should also be a possible answer.
