Hey,

This is a bit of a random one but this has been plaguing my mind since level 5 and I just can’t hold it in anymore.

The reading of this vocab is しぐさ which I’m all happy with. But when you play the audio on the web page for it:

I am about 94% sure I hear it like しんぐさ. Is there any legitimate reason for this? Am I imaging things? Have I been pronouncing し wrong? Is there some magical Japanese rule which turns しぐ in more of a しんぐ? Or is it just, heaven forbid, the page is inaccurate?

Any help is appreciated ^.^

In some dialects, including the Tokyo dialect, g-sounds in the middle of words sound more like “ng”.
