You can blame @jprspereira for that one. Looks like the spelling error goes all the way back to the first Yotsuba thread (until @marcusp fixed it in January of this year). :rofl:

Ok, when this book is using the ～ている construction it seems to drop the い from いる.

Examples (bis edition):

Page 6: 出してる

Page 7: してる

Am I reading that right? Assuming this is a contraction in casual speech.

For a manga like this, what counts as a major event? For now I’ll stay on the safe side and assume joke details do.

My favorite joke in these chapters

Was definitely the one at the start of the second chapter where they troll the fisherman about their names.

Hardest to understand jokes

Probably the ones where シロクマ is acting out a slightly off version of what パンダ said. I definitely did understand them, it just had the most unfamiliar vocab.

Just finished reading the two chapters, I have several questions but it’s late at night and I want to sleep.

But I think I can't sleep without understanding this one

At the end of the first chapter, パンダ says that he will start his diet tomorrow and then シロクマ says “ごゆっくり”.
is he mocking パンダ’s diet? or is that just a sound effect describing that シロクマ is walking away slowly? I honestly can’t tell
