Your worst typos WaniKani has accepted

wk_ease_halt
I got it mixed up with 逮 (apprehend) and didn’t even put the right word for that.

… this is the actual meaning:
wk_ease_peace

WK pls I’m trying to learn

I’ve had the weirdest typos accepted only to have “Boss” downgraded to guru instead of burning it, because I typed “Bos” =[

I clearly need to be more careful when giving an answer I know to be wrong.

That’s not a typo, just the original name of the radical, which remains in the system as an invisible synonym.

I didn’t know that was a thing! But I’m glad to hear it.

“Kick” radical (which is “root” now) did not expose such behaviour, though.

I feel like I may be missing something, but root and kick are different significantly radicals. “Root” used to be called “good” before the Great Renaming, but “kick” wasn’t altered.

You’re absolutely right, it’s just my brain playing weird games with me, recovering after a stroke. Got overwhelmed by Wanikani and Japanese in general, returning to it after half a year of absence.

Even without having had a stroke radicals, kanji, and words look like each other, especially after a long break. Best of health to you, and welcome back :crabigator:
