Your worst typos WaniKani has accepted

supposed to be absorption… right letters wrong order ig

Ah, I didn’t realize that. Thanks!

Didn’t save the review. But when the new Kanji is ‘Scroll’ and the vocab is ‘To Roll’ a natural guess is ‘To Scroll’. WK accepts it with no issues. It should probably give a warning, or be marked wrong.

Good catch! Got it blocked.

Sadly, it’s not really a typo, I honestly tried this as an answer. Blocking it might be a good idea.

This one genuinely confuses me. The meaning and explanation doesn’t suggest the “temporary” meaning would be accepted, but it was. Is it one of those words with many meanings? The pronunciation drives me crazy too. Trying hard not turning this one into a leach …

For the second one:
一時の間に合わせに物事するさま。暫定的に。
is a definition. So yes temporary/provisional is totally a valid meaning for it as well.

Would “no breaks” be a good synonym since it is kinda in the second context sentence? Or is that not really the meaning

I had a shoulder operation, so I’m relying more on speech to text software (Handy) and it seems that my pronunciation in English is not so great, so sometimes it results in funny misspellings, like this one:

“No breaks” makes sense to me, and more importantly, “breaks” is in the context sentences so I added it to the allow list.

First, wishing you a speedy recovery on the shoulder!

As for this item accepting “don’t need,” I’ll bring this up to the team to see what they say. I’d expect this “don’t ~” construction to come up only mistakenly as we don’t teach that for verbs. But it is quite opposite.

Thank you.

I reported it mostly as it was quite incorrect but, as you said, considering whole WK dataset, making that “type-o” seems rather slim.

is this a valid meaning? i’m guessing not?

It has been blocked!
