Your worst typos WaniKani has accepted

Hi @Mods

This meaning was accepted (with a warning), and I’m not sure if it fits what the kanji can mean.
What do you think?

i wrote burb on barb

welcome to the commeownity ! :cat_with_wry_smile: I think this much should be allowed or otherwise the crabigator will be cursed for being too cruel.

:crabigator:

I don’t know if this is far off enough to justify getting blocked, but here’s a recent mistake of mine.

Okay i admit i tried this deliberately but still…pelvic official ?! I think this is a bit misleading

I definitely didn’t confuse this with Anti, and go, “well, it isn’t anti, so was it oppose?”

This should be marked as incorrect I guess? To receive something is quite different than accepting something @Mods

It’s actually on our allow-list and most dictionaries list it as a possible synonym, so all good this time :slightly_smiling_face:

what about this one ? :slightly_smiling_face:

You kinda said you did that one on purpose, and it doesn’t really feel like a mistake that people are generally likely to make.

…you joined the durtle police squad ? :caught_durtling:

I would have to concur with Belthazar here, we generally only update our lists for likely scenarios. Given that a “pelvic official” doesn’t actually mean anything, we don’t need to add it to our lists. :slightly_smiling_face:

crawling back into the corner to hide:face_in_clouds:

This seems to fit fine to me. Fierce is even in the thesaurus under “ardent.” For a typo, a pretty good one!

This one is blocked!

Maybe unlikely others will guess this, but since you supplied that line of thinking, I get where you’re coming from, so blocked it.

Godzilla wants a word.

I would say I got it obviously wrong and it got accepted.

I guess it is really acceptable as japanese is a context based language so if the reader or listner knows about what you turned towards and what to then it will work out fine…or maybe I am wrong…not sure
