@Mods blocklist candidate methinks
Done and blocked and done!
Part verb… to be part?
Detain study = study break? Nope! But this one got me through at least a few apprentice levels. ![]()
Also:
one of the few words I did know before learning Japanese from watching Sumo ![]()
Perhaps, but in general usage it’s gonna be “room” 99% of the time.
They could at least add it to the warn list, if not to ‘correct but hidden’. There are few worse feelings than getting a correct answer invalidated because the teacher didn’t know.
@Mods Here’s a block candidate for you:
Got this one blocked! Thank you!
im pretty sure 買う just accepted ‘to say‘ but i was going pretty quick so i may be wrong
Got that one blocked! Thanks for letting us know.
研 meaning just accepted “harden” ![]()
B-L-O-K! You ain’t gettin’ by, no way! You’re blocked! Yeah, yeah! You’re blocked!
(I blocked that one.)
had this one happen too, but checked on jisho and it’s one of the meanings on there.
ah alright. i know wanikani has 弱点 as a word for “weak point” as well so i was a bit confused there i suppose
南東, I typed “North east” and it got accepted
Got this one blocked! Thanks for the heads up.
@MichaelR What’s the process for adding new meanings for words?
If it’s something simple like a meaning needs to be blocked or an obvious synonym, we mods will go ahead and take care of it. But if it’s something more detailed, then that’s up to the content team.
I can’t speak to the content team’s processes in detail, but from what I’ve observed, if it’s a decision that needs extra discussion, then the content team gets in there and discusses everything to levels of detail that make me flip over backwards like I’m in the last panel of a Bazooka Joe comic. These are like decisions about meanings themselves, or restructuring or moving items. That kind of stuff. These naturally take much more time.
If you have suggestions, you can them to us here on the community, or email or chat.
Has weak point been added as a synonym for 弱点?
