I’m coming back to WK after about a 3 years. I’ve kept up with my Japanese studies in general (focusing mostly on speaking and grammar). Thankfully I put my WK on vacation mode which means I only have about 200 reviews. I done a few self-study checks on kanji, by test various levels, 1-10, 11-20, there are tons I forgot. I’d say from level 1-26 I remember maybe 50%.
I have a lifetime subscription, so I’m not worried about the cost part. The biggest issue I find is that when I self-study, I don’t have access to the mnemonics and radical compositions, so it feels extra difficult, especially when dealing with kanji that all start to look the same.
