  • ๅ››ๆœˆใฏๅ›ใฎๅ˜˜ Vol.2 Ch.7-8 (end volume)

  • ใ†ใŸใ‚ใ‚Œใ‚‹ใ‚‚ใฎ

Words of the day
  • ใƒใƒชใƒใƒช(.) = (on-mim) energetic; eager / crunchy; crispy
  • ใ‚ฑใƒณใ‚ฑใƒณใƒ‘(.) = hopscotch, a childrenโ€™s game
  • ใ˜ใ‚ŒใฃใŸใ„ = annoying. Probably from ็„ฆ(ใ˜)ใ‚Œใ‚‹ / ็„ฆ(ใ˜)ใ‚‰ใ™.
  • ้ ผ(ใŸใ‚ˆ)ใ‚ŠใŒใ„ = trustworthy = ้ ผ(ใŸใ‚ˆ)ใ‚Š็”ฒๆ–(ใŒใ„)
  • ้ข็›ฎ็„ก(ใ‚ใ‚“ใผใใช)ใ„ = being ashamed. ้ข็›ฎ(ใ‚ใ‚“ใผใ) means honor.
  • ๅ–(ใจ)ใ‚ŠๆŸ„(ใˆ) = merit; good point
  • ๆ˜Ž(ใ‚)ใ‘ๆธก(ใ‚ใŸ)ใ™ = to evacuate and surrender, e.g. of a base, a town
  • ๆ„›ๅฌŒ(ใ‚ใ„ใใ‚‡ใ†) = charm; attractiveness / courtesy
  • ๆ™ด(ใฏ)ใ‚Œ้–“(ใพ) = patch (area) of blue sky / an interval (short time) of clear weather
  • ่œƒๆฐ—ๆฅผ(ใ—ใ‚“ใใ‚ใ†) = mirage. Makes me think of ้™ฝ็‚Ž(ใ‹ใ’ใ‚ใ†) (= heat haze). The Kanji is from a mystical aquatic beast.
  • ๅผตๆœฌไบบ(ใกใ‚‡ใ†ใปใ‚“ใ„ใ‚“) = ringleader; mastermind. Feels like the leader of ๆœฌไบบ(ใปใ‚“ใซใ‚“).
  • ่‚ฉ่ปŠ(ใ‹ใŸใใ‚‹ใพ) = piggy-back
  • ๅนด่ฒข(ใญใ‚“ใ) = annual land tribute (tax)
  • ๆ‰‹ๅทฅๆฅญ(ใ—ใ‚…ใ“ใ†ใŽใ‚‡ใ†) = handicraft industry
  • ๅ †่‚ฅ(ใŸใ„ใฒ) = manure; fertilizer = ่‚ฅๆ–™(ใฒใ‚Šใ‚‡ใ†)
  • ๆœ้ฃฏๅ‰(ใ‚ใ•ใ‚ใ—ใพใˆ) = a piece of cake; easy as pie; very easy. Donโ€™t know if anyone eats cake or pie before breakfast?
  • ๆฐ—ไป˜(ใใค)ใ‘่–ฌ(ใใ™ใ‚Š) = restorative drugs. No Okurigana as well. Ammonia? Can also mean alcohol as slang.
  • ไธƒๅ…‰(ใชใชใฒใ‹)ใ‚Š = benefiting from the influence of a master or parent
  • ็ซ‹่บซ(ใ‚Šใฃใ—ใ‚“) = success in life. There seems to also be ็ซ‹่บซๅ‡บไธ–(ใ‚Šใฃใ—ใ‚“ใ—ใ‚…ใฃใ›).
  • ๆœฌไธธ(ใปใ‚“ใพใ‚‹) = core of a castle; the center part
  • ้†œ(ใ—ใ“)ใฎๅพกๆฅฏ(ใฟใŸใฆ) = the humble shield of our Lord. First Kanji is from ้†œๆ…‹(ใ—ใ‚…ใ†ใŸใ„) and ้†œ(ใฟใซใ)ใ„.
  • ๅŠ ่ญท(ใ‹ใ”) = divine protection
  • ้‰พ(ใปใ“) = a pike; a halberd (็Ÿ›(ใปใ“)). The Kanji also in ้ฏฑ้‰พ(ใ—ใ‚ƒใกใปใ“).
  • ่ท‹ๆ‰ˆ(ใฐใฃใ“) = rampant; overgrown (of domineering, tyranny)
  • ็ƒˆ็ซ(ใ‚Œใฃใ‹) = raging fire. Similar sounding is ๅŠฃๅŒ–(ใ‚Œใฃใ‹) (= deterioration).
  • ็Œ›(ใŸใ‘)ใๅ‹‡่€…(ใ‚†ใ†ใ—ใ‚ƒ) = brave hero. The reading also seen in ็Œ›ใ€…(ใŸใ‘ใ ใ‘)ใ—ใ„ and ็Œ›(ใŸใ‘)ใ‚Š็ซ‹(ใŸ)ใค. Not sure about ้›„(ใŠ)ใŸใ‘ใณ. (common root?)
  • ็ฐ็‡ผ(ใ‹ใ„ใ˜ใ‚“) = ashes; complete destruction. First Kanji is just On reading, but I donโ€™t think I have seen this one. Second Kanji sounds like ๅพฎๅกต(ใฟใ˜ใ‚“).
  • ้’ๅคฉ(ใ›ใ„ใฆใ‚“)ใฎ้œน้‚(ใธใใ‚Œใ) = bolt from the blue. Now, it is very literal to English.
