Instead of looking up by page (real-time) in a dictionary, I took handwritten notes of vocabularies (and scribbles). I can understand, and got to the end of the volume, but became a little sleepy.

Somehow, a heroine’s name is being called プー. (Though I can somewhat guess the reason.)

Words of the day
  • オチオチ = (on-mim) calmly = 落(お)ち落(お)ち
  • ザラザラ(.) = (on-mim) gritty like coarse grains of sand
  • ワラワラ(.) = (on-mim) scattering everywhere
  • つちのこ = a mythical snake-like creature = 槌(つち)の子(こ)
  • とてつもない = absurd = 途轍(とてつ)も無(な)い. 途轍(とてつ) is coherence; reasoning.
  • 培(つちか)う = to cultivate
  • 泥(どろ)んこ = being covered in mud
  • 沈着(ちんんちゃく) = composure
  • 情緒(じょうちょ) = emotion; mood; airs
  • 居候(いそうろう) = a freeloader; a dependent. What’s with the reading? Feels like 一層(いっそ)、うろうろ perhaps.
  • 抵触(ていしょく) = infringement (of regulations)
  • 選抜(せんばつ) = picking out; selection
  • 無理難題(むりなんだい) = unreasonable demand
  • お釣(つ)りが来(く)る = to be more than enough
  • 目(め)が死(し)んでいる = to look dead on the inside
