宍道湖ではほかにも、すずき、しらうお、こい、うなぎ、もろげえび、あまさぎなどがとれます。

岡山県には、ももたろうのモデルといわれる＊吉備津彦命をまつる吉備津神社や、おにがとりでをきずいてすんでいたといわれる、鬼ノ城のいせきがあります。
